My beautiful friends Amy Claire Thompson and Rachel Charlton have chosen this glum and gloomy time of year to re-launch their incredible self-image campaign, Nature Made Us Beautiful. As part of the campaign, they have invited fellow bloggers to take part in challenges to help ourselves – and hopefully our readers – think about what makes us, well us. When I was at school we used to do exercises like this in class, and it was always one of my favourite activities.  Very little appears to have changed, aside from the fact that I can now use the wonders of the internet (namely Polyvore) to access just about any image I want.  Here is what I came up with:

Ultimately, this is a picture of a collection of objects, consumables.  But these objects are a visual representation of what I like, what I do, and what I dream of.  Some of them are things I own, some I would like to.  I don’t want to explain why I selected each image, as I would rather that you made up your own mind as to what something means.  But  in one way or another, they all represent a part of me that I am proud of and would never change.

I love collages!
