Following my feet

I had been having a think about how I was going to end my year in photos during today, wondering whether I should go in search of some incredible image to try and end the year with a bang. As you can see, I have decided to go with something significantly more everyday, my feet (albeit in brand new Christmas socks!)

2012 has been a great year for me. Of course it’s had its ‘moments’, but that is literally how life goes, so I’m hardly going to dwell on those. I’ve got engaged, changed my job, and started to arrange my wedding amongst many other smaller, daily achievements. There’s still so much that I want to achieve, and my plan is to get there in exactly the same way I have with everything else: one foot in front of the other. Whether it’s getting out for a run, developing my blog further or yet more wedding planning, not sweating the small stuff and focusing on the task at hand will continue to be my strategy.

Wishing you all a very happy and peaceful new year, and I’ll see you in 2013!

I cannot believe it’s the penultimate day of 2012! My thoughts have started to turn to what my blog will look like next year, and I still haven’t quite decided yet, but for now here’s today’s photo.

I haven’t been to a christening in almost 20 years, so today was quite a special day. This is my friend Rachael’s beautiful daughter Mila in her christening gown, she was such a good girl all day! Additional special congratulations go to Rachael, who also got engaged today!

Getting pretty organised

This rather chic vanity case came filled with Ted Baker goodies as a Christmas gift from Mama Thorne, and it seemed too pretty to stow away for storage. So, this evening, despite being rather tired and feeling the first signs of a cold, I’ve had a sort out of all of my beauty products, and arranged them neatly with the case on display. I love to have a bit of a clear out and tidy up around the Christmas holiday, it just seems like the right time to re-evaluate the ‘stuff’ I have.
