In my new job, I am now totally sedentary – apart from heading to the watercooler I pretty much never leave my desk. As a result, Dan and I are making a much more conscious effort to get out of the house in the evening for a walk, and I recently bought a pedometer to see what achieving the recommended 10,000 steps a day actually takes. As it happens, it’s quite a lot of walking. I haven’t been wearing it during the day to work as I can’t clip it to my dresses in the right place, so the below number of steps only relates to this evening’s after-dinner walk around the town. It’s not a bad effort, but there’s always room for improvement!
